Signup bonus value
Welcome offers are quoted in different currencies: dollars, points, miles, free nights. That makes it hard to compare two cards side by side. Pick a card and we'll show you what its bonus is actually worth, at three realistic redemption levels.
What the three tiers mean
- Floor is the most cautious realistic value. For Chase, Amex, Capital One, Citi, and Delta, this number is the rate the issuer itself documents (portal pay-with-points, statement-credit erase, "pay with miles"). For the others, it's an estimate based on observed redemptions, not an issuer-published figure.
- Typical is what a normal cardholder gets when they transfer to a partner and book a non-peak coach flight or a mid-tier hotel night.
- Sweet spot is the rate when someone hits a partner redemption that punches above its weight: international business class, peak hotel nights, top-tier free-night certificates.
Hotel programs (Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, IHG) and United MileagePlus don't publish a cents-per-point valuation, so every tier for those programs is an estimate. We label them as such in the result above. Use the ranges as ranges, not guarantees.
