JetBlue Card

The JetBlue Card is Barclays' entry point into the TrueBlue program, and it earns its $0 annual fee by staying simple: 3X on JetBlue purchases, 2X at restaurants and grocery stores, and 1X on everything else, with no rotating categories to track. The 10,000-point welcome offer is modest next to premium travel cards, but the math still works for an occasional JetBlue flyer who wants a no-cost way to build TrueBlue points and progress toward Mosaic status. The tradeoff is that this card carries none of the travel protections or insurance that show up on issuer cards a tier up, so it functions as a starter rewards card, not a travel-protection card.

The JetBlue Plus Card is the $99-annual-fee step up from the no-fee JetBlue Card, and the math is straightforward: a free checked bag for the cardholder and up to three companions covers the fee on a single round trip for a family, and 6X on JetBlue purchases plus a 60,000-point welcome offer build TrueBlue points faster than the no-fee version's 3X.
