What we collect directly
Nothing through forms on this site. ccdeck has no account system, no signup form, no newsletter. If you email us at support@ccdeck.com, that email goes to a real inbox and is read by one person.
What our infrastructure logs
Cloudflare, our hosting and edge provider, automatically logs the technical details of every request: IP address, user agent, requested URL, response code. These logs exist for abuse prevention and performance debugging. Cloudflare's own privacy policy governs how long they retain them.
Analytics and product tools
We use third-party tools to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. As of the date above, the tools we run or plan to run are:
- Google Analytics. Aggregate page-view and session data: which pages people visit, how they got here, how long they stay, what device they're on. Google sets a cookie for this and Google's own privacy policy governs the data they collect.
- Microsoft Clarity (planned). Heatmaps and session recordings of anonymous user behavior on the site. Clarity masks form inputs and personal text by default; we don't unmask them. Microsoft's privacy policy governs this data.
You can block both with any standard ad blocker (uBlock Origin, Ghostery, Brave's built-in shield, etc.). You can also opt out directly via Google's GA opt-out and Clarity's user-controls page.
Advertising
ccdeck may run paid traffic through Google Ads to bring readers to the site. If you arrived from one of our ads, Google may set cookies to attribute the visit. We use those signals to measure which ads work, not to follow you elsewhere on the web. Standard ad-blocker tools also block these cookies.
We do not run third-party display ads on the site itself.
Affiliate links and conversion tracking
Some links on ccdeck, specifically "Apply now" buttons on card pages, are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination site, not ccdeck, sets a cookie tying your visit to us so the issuer can credit us a referral fee if you apply and get approved. We don't see your application, your credit information, or your identity; the affiliate network reports back an aggregate count of approved referrals.
We may pass a UTM-style identifier through the affiliate link so we can correlate which ccdeck page sent the referral that converted. That identifier travels with the click only; it doesn't follow you back to ccdeck or into our analytics tools as personal data.
You can apply for any card directly at the issuer's site without using our link. The card pages clearly note who the issuer is and we link to their official application page even when there's no affiliate path.
Cookies
Cookies set by ccdeck or its third-party tools:
- Google Analytics cookies (typically prefixed
_ga): aggregate analytics. - Microsoft Clarity cookies (when enabled): session-replay and heatmaps.
- Google Ads cookies (when paid campaigns are running): ad-attribution.
- Affiliate-network cookies set by the destination site after you click an Apply button.
All of these are set by third parties under their own privacy policies. ccdeck itself does not set any first-party cookies.
Your rights
Because we don't store first-party user data, there's nothing to request, export, or delete on our end. To request or delete your data from one of the third-party tools above, contact that company directly using the links in the relevant section.
You can also opt out of all of it client-side by running a privacy-focused browser or ad blocker.
Changes
Material changes to this policy (a new tool, a new data category, a new third-party processor) will move the "Last updated" date above and get posted to /updates.
