Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card
The Venture X is Capital One's answer to the Sapphire Reserve and Amex Platinum: a metal $395 travel card that earns 2x miles flat on everything, plus 10x on hotels and 5x on flights when booked through Capital One Travel. The $300 annual travel credit plus a 10,000-mile anniversary bonus mean the effective fee is roughly $95 a year for someone who actually uses the portal, which is the lowest premium-travel net of the big three. The lounge story used to be the headline draw but Capital One ended free guest access in early 2025, so the card is best for a solo traveler today.
